MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Dwight Dasher threw for two touchdowns and ran for two as Middle Tennessee defeated Florida Atlantic 38-14 on Saturday.
Dasher was 11 of 15 for 158 yards. The Blue Raiders (5-6, 4-3) also got 150 yards from Phillip Tanner on 15 carries, and Darin Davis returned two interceptions for a total of 101 yards.
After the Owls (4-7, 3-4) took an early lead on Jeff Van Camp's 32-yard pass to Lester Jean, Dasher tied it with a 44-yard toss to Tavarres Jefferson. Dasher's 29-yard pass to Tyler Mason put the Blue Raiders ahead 14-7 at halftime.
Middle Tennessee's opening drive of the second half featured 10 consecutive runs before it ended in a field goal.
The Blue Raiders went ahead 24-7 when Dasher ran it in from the 1 after Davis returned an interception 49 yards. Dasher's 5-yard run early in the fourth quarter made it 31-7 after Davis' 52-yard interception return.
