HOUSTON -- Texas Southern dismantled Texas College by outgaining them 503 to 89 in total yards of offense en route to a 49-6 victory Saturday night.
Texas Southern's Riko Smalls passed for 290 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, and three different running backs scored touchdowns for the Tigers.
Texas Southern got the scoring started with a 51-yard TD pass from Smalls to Richard Samuel at the 2:26 mark in the first quarter, leading to 49 unanswered points for the Tigers until Texas College finally scored on a 57-yard TD run by Devin Lee early in the fourth quarter.
Texas College was held to just 30 yards passing on the night.
