HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Jordan McCord scored on a 4-yard touchdown run in the first overtime for Colgate, and the Raiders held Cornell scoreless on their possession in the extra frame to come away with a 38-25 win on Saturday.
McCord, who also played on the defensive side of the ball and notched an interception, got the ball three straight times after a pass interference penalty set Colgate (4-3) up first-and-goal at the 5 in overtime. His last carry was the game winner, and he finished with 87 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Colgate led by as much as 28-17 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter, but Cornell forced OT by scoring 10 points in the final 1:52 of regulation.
