SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Northwestern State used touchdowns by Phillip Harvey and Louis Hollier to take a lead, and maintained it with help from Texas State's second-half turnovers in a 23-10 victory on Saturday.
The Demons (5-3) led 14-10 at halftime and added a field goal after recovering a fumble by Bobcats quarterback Shaun Rutherford on the second play of the third quarter. Later in the second half, Texas State (5-4) had drives end at the Northwestern State 13- and 4-yard lines after lost fumbles.
The Demons drove 80 yards in 13 plays to a 33-yard TD run by Justin Aldredge that made the score 23-10 with 4:45 remaining.
Hollier had four receptions for 53 yards.
Terrence Franks rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown for the Bobcats.
