PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Tim Clark rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and Alabama State spoiled Arkansas-Pine Bluff's homecoming game with a 28-12 win Saturday.
Clark opened the scoring with a 2-yard score on the game's first drive. He added scoring runs of 7 and 71 yards in the third quarter as Alabama State built a 28-3 lead.
Justin Billings had a 40-yard touchdown run for the Golden Lions (4-5, 3-4), and Chris Ewald kicked two field goals. Benjamin Anderson was 31 for 48 for 274 yards but was intercepted twice, by Markinley Saint Fort and Saeed Lee.
The interception to Saint Fort was a costly one, ending a 15-play, 70-yard drive at the ASU 6-yard line late in the first half.
USC is ahead of the pack when it comes to pass-catchers, but there is depth across the division.
