BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Patrick Clarke kicked a 47-yard field goal as time expired to propel Buffalo to a 27-24 victory over Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.
Miami's Zac Dysert threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Nick Harwell to tie the game at 24 with 23 seconds remaining, but Devin Campbell returned the kickoff 47 yards to the Redhawks' 35-yard line.
After one running play, Clarke kicked the game-winner.
The teams were tied 3-3 at the half but combined to score 45 points after the break.
Branden Oliver rushed for 199 yards and one touchdown for the Bulls (2-7, 1-4 Mid-American Conference), and Joe Licata, in his first start while subbing for injured Alex Zordich, threw two touchdown passes.
Dysert, who passed Ben Roethlisberger as Miami's all-time leading passer, threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns for the Redhawks (4-5, 3-2), all of them to Harwell, who caught 10 passes.

Oliver rushed for 175+ yards for the 4th time in his career, which ties him with James Starks for the most games with 175+ rush yards by a Buffalo running back since 2000. The Bulls are 8-0 in those games.
