Boston College and Wake Forest have strong defenses and problems on offense, so a 0-0 score at halftime is not really a huge shock. The teams have combined for 10 first downs, 2-of-15 on third down and 212 total yards. Wake is averaging 1.1 yards rushing; BC 2.9.

Wisconsin uses a fourth-down completion and a pass-interference call to march 77 yards in 5:22, scoring on 7-yard Stave pass to TE Troy Fumagalli. Badgers lead 7-0 at Nebraska.

Terrific day for football in Manhattan, Kansas. The Accuweather forecast calls for a breezy, clear and mild evening with a kickoff temperature of 74 degrees at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The breeze will be 10-20 mph at kick with winds subsiding as the game goes on.

Fournette watch: RB has just 17 yards

If LSU RB Leonard Fournette reaches 200 yards today, he'll be the first FBS player with 4-straight 200 yard games since Tulane's Matt Forte in 2007. He has a long way to go, though, with a season-low 17 yards in the first quarter. Live on ESPN/WatchESPN

Large man gave Baylor a large lead

Baylor QB Seth Russell connected with 410-pound tight end LaQuan McGowan for an 18-yard TD. The only Kansas player in his way didn't seem too keen on trying to stop him.

Mitch Sherman ESPN Staff Writer

Nebraska and Wisconsin are scoreless after one quarter. Huskers, 124th nationally on third and less than 4 yards, are 0 for 3 in such spots today. Not going to good enough against the Badgers.

Dan Murphy ESPN Staff Writer

Northwestern missed a 42-yard field goal attempt and Michigan scoreless streak remains intact. It's been more than 135 minutes of fame clock since the last time the Wolverines allowed a point. They lead the Wildcats 14-0 in the first.
