Despite not playing a game this weekend, the Utes benefit from a few Top 10 upsets and a shaky performance from Ohio State to ascend to the No. 1 position.

Gators make huge leap in power rankings

Following a 38-10 win over then-No. 3 Ole Miss, Florida surged from the fringe of the top 25 to inside the top 10 in the latest power rankings. That's the highest ascension of any team this week. Plenty of shakeups

Davis: Florida is for real

ESPN's Butch Davis says Florida coach Jim McElwain's biggest impact on the Gators is his work in stabilizing the quarterback position.

UCLA tumbles in power rankings

The Bruins' loss to Arizona State called into question their Pac-12 supremacy and plummeted them 15 spots in the latest power rankings, the furthest drop of any team. New number one

Alabama's win was 'total domination'

Wisconsin is struggling but LB Joe Schobert making a push for national awards. He leads the nation in sacks (9) and tackles for loss (13), and is tied for the national lead in forced fumbles (4). An insane performance so far, Scooby Wright esque.

Clemson's d-line key in big win

ESPN's Mark May credits the Tigers' defensive pressure in helping them overcome an unremarkable performance by QB Deshaun Watson to beat Notre Dame.

With 233 yards against Eastern Michigan on Saturday LSU RB Leonard Fournette became the first player in SEC history to rush for at least 200 yards in three straight games. In four games Fournette leads the nation with 864 rushing yards. That's the most in LSU history and the most by any FBS player since 2000

Florida's 38-10 win over No. 3 Ole Miss marked the Gators' largest win over an AP Top-3 opponent since their 1997 Sugar Bowl win over Florida State for the national championship. Not to toss lofty expectations on the Gators or anything but in 3 of the previous 4 seasons in which they defeated an AP Top-3 opponent by more than 10 points the Gators went on to win the national title (1996, 2006 & 2008)

The top two scoring defenses in the FBS belong to Northwestern (7 ppg allowed) and Michigan (7.6 ppg). They play this week in Ann Arbor. Take the under, whatever it is.

ICYMI: Serviceman surprises family

A serviceman surprised his family ahead of the Florida-Ole Miss game. Their reaction was priceless.

ICYMI: ASU linemen rumble, tumble for TD

Arizona State RB Kalen Ballage had plenty of help getting this ball 23 yards and into the end zone, including being shoved along by his teammates and UCLA players.

Relive Week 5 of college football

Florida's upset of Ole Miss, Alabama pounding Georgia, and Clemson eking out a win over Notre Dame highlighted another fantastic week of college football.

Washington State fake punt goes wrong

The Cougars looked like they might pick up a first down on this trick play. But then the punter got popped, the ball came loose, and Cal went the other way for a touchdown.

ICYMI: Ezekiel Elliott's insane second half

The Ohio State RB had three touchdowns in the second half of Ohio State's 34-27 win over Indiana, including a 55-yard run, a 65-yard run and this electrifying 75-yard run.

Clemson kicker levels the boom

On the opening kickoff of the second half, Clemson kicker Ammon Lakip lowered his shoulder and forced a fumble. He'll put this on his highlight reel.

ICYMI: Florida upsets Ole Miss in The Swamp

The No. 25 Gators had upset on their mind as No. 3 Ole Miss went into The Swamp as a contender and left with a lopsided 38-10 loss as Florida QB Will Grier threw for 271 yards and 4 TDs.

Don't leave me hangin', ref!

That's exactly what happened, though, as Baylor WR Corey Coleman couldn't get a high-five after his second TD of the game.

Ref, DB in collision with a surprise ending

Utah State CB Jalen Davis was going for an interception when he collided with the back judge, but it was the referee who walked away seemingly unharmed.

Dalvin Cook could not be stopped

The FSU running back busted through a tackle and took it 94 yards to the house for the third-longest rushing touchdown in Seminoles history.
