PRACTICE NOTES
Monday (1/21/02):
Roosevelt Williams started out pretty good. He performed very well in all the athletic drills. Considering he played collegiately against lower level competition, he didn't lack in confidence, which was impressive. In coverage, Williams' intensity, focus and concentration were not there. He let receivers get by him. It looked like he had not seen receivers or quarterbacks with top ability. He likes to lay off then break on the ball, but the talent level was different today. He needs to turn it up. If he improves with coaching, Williams could be a pretty good player.
Tuesday (1/22/02):
Roosevelt Williams showed fluid hips. He looks the part in his uniform. He's a lean, muscular kid with good size for his position. He showed good hands and quickness. Williams is really a guy on the rise. He made some money for himself today. If he continues to improve at this rate, he could move into the first round of the draft.
Wednesday (1/23/02):
Roosevelt Williams continues to impress with his athletic ability. His techniques are still raw and has some fundamentals to learn. He has all the ability and continues to improve. Williams has a big upside.
Thursday (1/24/02):
Roosevelt Williams made a great break on a skinny post and read the quarterback well to deflect a pass. He continues to flash. It was his only opportunity to make a play, and he did. Williams continues to impress.

SUMMARY
Roosevelt Williams is a raw, athletic kid with a ton of talent. He improved each day. With work on his fundamentals, he has a chance to be outstanding. Right now, he's playing on athletic ability and raw talent. This is a guy everybody noticed. He stood out and really helped himself this week in Mobile. Look for Williams to go in the 2nd round.
