What a blown-up CFB map could look like

Notre Dame in the B1G? Boise State in the Pac-12? This is what realignment and expansion should look like, even if it can't. Plus, an epic commitment and more of the best of the week in CFB.

Earlier this year, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported on the University of Cincinnati's diligent campaign to join the Big 12, in the event the league voted to expand. ESPN.com has gained access to a series of documents showing that lobbying has continued. On Feb. 3, Cincinnati president Santa Ono sent a letter to Texas Tech interim president John Opperman highlighting a conversation the two had about Cincinnati's Big 12 candidacy. Enclosed with the letter was a brochure touting Cincinnati with the title "Onward."

We'd love to see the keg of nails back

It's one of the coolest trophies in the game, but isn't played for anymore. Louisville made a decision to play a natural rival with less history on the gridiron, leaving Cincinnati out in the cold. rivalries we wish were back on the schedule
