Baylor's fallout continues

QB Jarrett Stidham added to the fallout at Baylor on Monday after he made his transfer official. The school granted Stidham a release, he confirmed to ESPN.

Former Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham informed me he received his release from the school today. He'll have 3 seasons of eligibility elsewhere and be able to play again in 2017. After his impressive freshman year, he'll be one seriously coveted free agent.

Jim Grobe's reported $1.25 million salary as Baylor interim coach ranks as the eighth-highest in the Big 12, ahead of Iowa State's Matt Campbell and Kansas' David Beaty.

At some point, Baylor coach Jim Grobe will start focusing on football again, but said this week it's a delicate balance. "Certainly I want to get on football as much as possible, but I think we have to be very sensitive to what's happened in the past -- especially the victims -- and try to make sure going forward that we don't waste these teaching opportunities and we learn from past mistakes."
