Derek Tyson RecruitingNation

Looking back, Armwood High School's 2011 team was incredible. Leon McQuay III (USC), Eric Striker (Oklahoma), Cody Waldrop (South Carolina), Jarvis McCall (Arizona) all scheduled to start. Alvin Bailey (Florida) expected to contribute and Matt Jones (Florida) is now with the Redskins. Byron Cowart (Auburn) was No. 1 player in the country this last year, freshman in 2011.

Florida losing LT Martez Ivey for possibly a month because of this knee injury hurts but the good news is that Fordham transfer Mason Halter (33 career starts) can move right in to help David Sharpe (moves to LT). Coach Jim McElwain called Mason his "ace in the hole" because he can play LT and RT. Freshman Fred Johnson can also help at both tackle spots
