Danker hit seven 3-pointers, tying for the second-most in an NCAA Tournament game, to finish with 25 points and lead Vanderbilt to an 83-57 victory over the Bengals in a Midwest Regional first-round game.

"I understand why they won as many games as they won," said Vanderbilt coach Jim Foster. "That zone is a good one."

Vanderbilt's victory ended the nation's longest winning streak at 21 games. Idaho State had not lost since Dec. 20. The Commodores also held Idaho State to just 14 rebounds, tied for the fewest ever in an NCAA game.

"We ran into a buzzsaw," said Bengals coach Ardie McInelly. "When we led 7-4, it felt pretty good, but it didn't last long."

After Danker loosened up the zone, the Commodores were able to get inside to their post players. Chantelle Anderson finished with 18 points and Zuzi Klimesova scored 17.

"I got lucky," Danker said. "The defense they were trying to put on Chantelle and Zuzi tends to leave me open. I'm just trying to relieve some pressure."

Added Anderson: "It definitely opened things up. It helps to be shooting that well."

The Commodores (22-9), the best shooting team in the nation this season at 55 percent, hit 29 of 46 from the floor (63 percent).

Vanderbilt of the Southeastern Conference will play Colorado, a 98-78 winner earlier over Siena, in Monday's second round.

Big Sky Conference champion Idaho State was led by Chris Urbanski with 20 points, including six 3-pointers. Conference MVP Mandi Carver was held to eight points and just two rebounds, her fewest of the season.

Danker's seven 3s tied for second best in NCAA Tournament history with three other players. The record of eight was set by Julie Krommenhoek of Utah in 1998.

The 14 rebounds by Idaho State ties the record for fewest in a tournament game set by Southwest Missouri State in 1993.
