Maryland falls while Duke fights off Cowgirls

DURHAM, N.C. -- It looked for a while like it might be a very humbling night for ACC women's basketball. Two of the league's marquee programs were on the ropes in their season openers. One of them made a big turnaround and won. One of them didn't.

The winner was No. 8 Duke, which pulled the plug on the Andrea Riley Show in the second half and won 77-68 over No. 15 Oklahoma State at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
