Ranked teams keep beating up on each other

Numbers don't make a lot of sense when looking at a box score in which one team outscores its opponent 52-26 in the first half, only to drop the second half by a 60-23 margin. But in the wake of Oklahoma's epic comeback on Saturday -- or Cal's epic collapse, depending on where you're situated -- maybe there are some truths hidden in math found elsewhere.

Through Sunday, there have been 35 games this season between teams that were ranked in the preseason top 25, and a couple of trends do jump off the page.
