Kids these days

March, 11, 2009
When I was chatting with Connecticut associate head coach Chris Dailey before the Big East championship game Tuesday, she recounted a recent "kids these days" moment.

Head coach Geno Auriemma was talking to his players about the Harlem Globetrotters, the team Curly Neal and Meadowlark Lemon made famous. The Huskies had no idea who those two icons were. Many didn't even know of the Globetrotters. Finally, a teammate jarred their memories when she said, "Wait, I do know them. They were on 'Scooby Doo.'"
