Langston hires Cheryl Miller as coach

Hall of Famer Cheryl Miller returned as a college basketball coach Wednesday, taking over at Langston University of the NAIA.

Miller, who starred as a player at USC, was also the school's coach from 1993-95, leading the Trojans to a 42-14 mark. She also was coach and general manager of the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury from 1997 to 2000, guiding the club to a 70-52 record and one Finals appearance (1998). She is currently a broadcaster for TNT.
