Nittany Lions hold off late rally by Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland (Ticker) -- Kelly Mazzante scored 26 points and made the go-ahead layup in the final seconds as 21st-ranked Penn State held off a late rally by Maryland to post a 67-65 victory.

Mazzante was 11-of-23 from the floor but did most of her damage inside as she made just 2-of-11 3-pointers. She won the game in the lane, making a layup off a pass from Courtney Upshaw with 3.9 seconds to go.
