Defense: Norfolk St. scores two points in final 13 minutes
RICHMOND, Va. -- LaKesha Wills scored 20 points and Coppin State gained its first NCAA tournament bid in 20 years Saturday, beating Norfolk State 67-43 for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship.
The top-seeded Lady Eagles (23-7), playing in the championship for the first time since 1993, wore down the smaller and weary Spartans (12-18). Eighth-seeded Norfolk State was playing its fourth game in as many days and it showed they scored just 2 points in the final 13½ minutes.
