UConn replaces Stanford at No. 1

Connecticut took over No. 1 in The Associated Press women's basketball poll after routing Stanford over the weekend.

Coach Geno Auriemma's team had 37 first-place votes Monday, while second-ranked Baylor got the other three. The Huskies last held the top spot at the end of the 2010-11 season.
