N.C. State Wolfpack
Road to the Final Four.............................................................................................
Overview After a 2-6 start in the ACC, the Wolfpack made an incredible turnaround to finish third. N.C. State won seven of its last eight regular-season games after coach Kay Yow moved Tynesha Lewis from the 2-guard to the point. The result: Lewis had two triple-doubles to rejuvenate the club, and the Pack is back in the NCAAs. Lewis and defensive whiz Ivy Gardner patrol the outside while Carisse Moody and rookie Adeola Olanrewaju have picked up the slack inside. Overall, the Wolfpack don't allow a lot of points and don't care if they only score 60 ... as long as they only give up 59. N.C. State had the best defense in the ACC, giving up an average of 57.4 points.Player to WatchAgainst Florida State on Jan. 29, senior guard Tynesha Lewis posted the first triple-double in school history -- in men's and women's basketball -- with 10 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds. She notched her second triple-double against UNC on Feb. 21, tallying 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on Senior Night. Roster NO.
