Overview
 A league-record 10th SWAC title followed by the conference tournament championship have the Braves back in the NCAA Tournament.
They are on a roll and haven't lost since Jan. 22.
Alcorn State has the best defense in the league as well as the best player in 5-11 senior Cherea Wood. Wood was named the SWAC Player of the Year for averaging 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game. Veteran coach Shirley Walker won SWAC Coach of the Year honors.Player to Watch
