Road to the Final Four.............................................................................................
Overview
Coach Lea Henry got a taste of the NCAA Tournament as a point guard for Tennessee in the 1980s, and now, in her seventh season at Georgia State, has guided the Lady Panthers to their first Big Dance appearance. Earning the TAAC's automatic bid wasn't easy, however. Trailing by five points with just more than three minutes to play, the Lady Panthers rallied and won the game on sophomore Evita Rogers' pair of free throws with 1.9 seconds left. Rogers was joined on the all-tournament team by junior point guard Marica Maddox, who dished out 12 assists in the final.Player to Watch Leslie McElrath, the TAAC tournament MVP, scored 24 points in the tournament final to give her an even 2,000 points for her career, making her only the second player in school history to achieve the feat.
