Virginia Cavaliers
Road to the Final Four.............................................................................................
Overview The Cavaliers have a potent weapon in sophomore forward Schuye LaRue. She's an All-ACC selection who averaged a double-double this year. At 6 feet 4, LaRue can handle the ball, shoot the 15-footer and passes well enough to make most point guards jealous. She shines around the basket, though, with her rebounding, quickness and leaping ability. And when Svetlana Volnaya and Telisha Quarles start nailing 3-pointers, they are the perfect complement for LaRue. Coach Debbie Ryan has been looking all year for consistency at the point, and needs that in the NCAAs from rookie Anna Prillaman.Player to WatchThe sky's the limit at Virginia. Schuye LaRue was the top rebounder in the ACC this season with an 11.9 average, and also ranked second in scoring with 18.2 points per game. Roster NO.
