Overview
The Hokies finished in fourth place in their inaugural season in the Big East. Tech overcame a tough schedule with seven of its eight losses coming to NCAA Tournament teams, including three against Notre Dame. While senior Tere Williams is the top-scoring Hokie, a trio of guards provide additional offense for Virginia Tech, as Amy Wetzel, Chrystal Starling and Sarah Hicks combine for 30 points per game.Player to Watch Tere Williams, a 5-foot-11 forward, is the top Hokie and an All-Big East selection who averages 15 points per game. She shoots 48.2 percent from the field, 76.4 percent from the line, and also averages 5.9 boards.
