Washington Huskies
Road to the Final Four.............................................................................................
Overview Husky-mania isn't just happening at UConn -- it's running wild in Seattle as well. Coming off a ninth-place conference finish a year ago, UW won a share of the Pac-10 crown. Washington, Arizona State and Stanford all tied for the Pac-10 title with 12-6 records, but by virtue of a tiebreaker Stanford earns the conference's NCAA Tournament automatic berth. Coach June Daugherty has engineered the biggest turnaround in league history and senior guard Megan Franza made a serious argument for Player of the Year honors. Loree Payne and Giuliana Mendiola also averaged more than 10 points a game for the potent Huskies. Player to WatchMegan Franza, a senior guard, is going out in style. Franza, who is Washington's career leader in 3-pointers, averages 16 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Huskies. Roster NO.
