Overview One of the top stories of the season is the second-place SEC regular-season finish of the Lady Gators. Florida replaced its top two leading scorers, won 23 games and helped Carol Ross win much-deserved Coach of the Year honors in the conference. All-SEC guard Brandi McCain ranked among the league leaders in scoring and 3-pointers per game. Point guard Tombi Bell is an underrated playmaker averaging five assists per game and running the Gators' potent fast break. Sophomore Naomi Mobley and freshman Vanessa Hayden finished 1-2 in the SEC in rebounding.Player to WatchBrandi McCain, a 5-foot-3 junior guard, led the SEC with 3.4 3-pointers per game, sinking 91 over 27 games.
