Overview
 Nineteen wins and a fifth-place finish in the SEC means the Tigers could do some damage in the NCAA Tournament. And when it really comes down to it, as Marie Ferdinand goes, so does LSU. April Brown also helps out, providing 11 points per game. Coach Sue Gunter's Tigers play stingy defense, allowing just 61 points per game to some of the most high-powered offenses in college basketball.

Marie Ferdinand is an All-SEC guard who averages 20 points and four assists per game. She's a solid defender who's deadly in transition.
