LOS ANGELES -- LSU's Seimone Augustus and Duke's Monique Currie are among the top 20 players on the John R. Wooden Award midseason list.
Augustus is averaging 20 points for the Lady Tigers, while Currie is averaging 17.9 points and 7.6 rebounds for Duke.
The midseason list is based on individual player performance and team records through the first half of the season.
Also included are Minnesota's Janel McCarville, Baylor's Steffanie Blackmon, TCU's Sandora Irvin and UCLA's Noelle Quinn, who is sidelined for three to six weeks because of a recent injury.
The rest of the top 20 are Jacqueline Batteast of Notre Dame; Lindsay Bowen of Michigan State; Jessica Davenport of Ohio State; Ashley Earley of Vanderbilt; Dionnah Jackson of Oklahoma; Tiffany Jackson of Texas; LSU's Temeka Johnson; Khara Smith of DePaul; Kim Smith of Utah; Kendra Wecker of Kansas State; Tan White of Mississippi State; Candice Wiggins of Stanford; Tanisha Wright of Penn State; and Sophia Young of Baylor.
Players who were not on the midseason list are still eligible for the Wooden Award.
The women's Wooden Award will be presented April 9 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
