W. Kentucky assistant Covington faces drug charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Western Kentucky graduate assistant
Kristina Covington, once the team's most valuable player, was
charged with trafficking a controlled substance near a school.

Covington was arrested Monday along with four others at a house
in Bowling Green. Marijuana was found in the house, according to

She has been suspended from athletic activities pending the
outcome of the case, athletic director Wood Selig said. Covington
was a 2003 all-Sun Belt selection and an all-Sun Belt tournament

She was charged along with Christy Elliot; Anthonius Duncan;
Montez Cox; and John McCloud. Cox and Elliot were also charged with
evidence tampering.
