INDIANAPOLIS -- Maria Boever scored 19 points and Jennifer Warkenthien added 18 to help South Dakota State (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) beat IUPUI 64-48 on Monday night for its ninth straight win.
Kristin Rotert added 10 points for the Jackrabbits (23-2, 12-1 Summit).
Julia Whitted scored 14 points and Janna Eichelberger added 11 for IUPUI (12-12, 7-6).
South Dakota State's trio of Boever, Warkenthein and Rotert did virtually all the damage for the Jackrabbits. They shot 18-for-29 from the field, but the rest of the team was just 6-for-27.
South Dakota State led 36-29 at halftime, but IUPUI cut its deficit to 43-40 early in the second half, but The Jackrabbits pulled away with a 14-2 run over a five-minute span.
South Dakota State held IUPUI to 18 points and 29 percent shooting in the second half. The Jaguars went 0-for-9 from 3-point range, negating a 39-31 rebounding edge.
