Here's Amar'e Stoudemire on why his partnership with Carmelo Anthony didn't work out well: "I dont think that pick & roll offense between me & Melo was taken advantage of, which it could have. From him, the way he shoots the ball & handles the ball from the outside & the way I attack the rim it could have been a pretty good combination. I dont think the coaching staff at the time really bought into that."

Kristaps Porzingis, on ESPN 98.7 FM, on getting booed at the draft: "I wouldnt say it (is) on my mind but it still sits in side of you a little bit. Thats not a good feeling when you get booed obviously. I dont want it stay on my mind the whole time, (I dont want) just to be good because someone booed me. I want to be a great player just because thats the way I am. I want to be the best I can be.

So we have a great relationship obviously," Porzingis said on on ESPN 98.7 FM. "Hes always helping me with little details on the court. Hes a master so I couldnt ask for a better mentor."

The Jets could see former No. 1 pick Quinton Coples on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Coples was claimed on waivers by the Dolphins and chief exec Mike Tannenbaum, the former Jets GM who drafted him in 2012. Coples will arrive for tomorrow's practice; no word on whether he'll suit up, but Miami needs front seven help. Could there be gamesmanship involved? Maybe a little, but you're reaching if you think Coples' knowledge of the Jets' schemes will make a difference in the game.
