New York Teams

Carmelo Anthony explains why he believes he's a better scorer than Steph Curry and LeBron James: "As an athlete, as a competitor, you're not going to say no," he said on The Dan Patrick Show. "I always have that mindset. When it comes to being on that court, I don't think anybody is better. That's my mindset." Most elite athletes have a similar mindset, so it shouldn't really surprise anyone that Anthony thinks this way. This mentality also explains why some retired players think their teams can beat the 2015-16 Warriors. Which is why we really shouldn't be shocked by it.

When first-round pick Darron Lee (Ohio State) becomes a starter for the Jets at inside linebacker, he'll line up alongside veteran David Harris, a proud Michigan alum. Inside LBs coach Mike Caldwell pointed that out to Lee soon after he was picked. "That's all water under the bridge," Lee said with a laugh. "I didn't play when he was playing so we can put all that rivalry stuff behind us. It'll be all about helping us win games."

Darron Lee is a playmaker

Darron Lee, drafted by the Jets, becomes the fifth Ohio State player taken in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Field Yates says the upside the OLB brings is he can play four downs and could be a playmaker for Todd Bowles' squad.

Darron Lee's impact should come early in the Jets sub-packages. Speed and versatility to align in multiple spots. Can walk out over the slot, cover space in zone coverage and run with tight ends.
