In a move that corresponds to Eduardo Rodriguez's demotion after Monday night's game, the Red Sox have called up reliever Pat Light from Triple-A Pawtucket. Before last night's rain-delayed game, the Yankees had won 160 consecutive games when leading after 8 innings. They are now 160-1 in such games, dating back to June 1, 2014. The Rangers beat the Yankees 9-6 in a game that was delayed for 3 hours and 35 minutes. The Yankees had a 6-5 lead going into the 9th inning before play was stopped after Aroldis Chapman walked Robinson Chirinos and had a 3-1 count on Shin-Soo Choo. Rangers scored 4 runs after the game resumed at 2:15 am.
