NEW YORK -- Brooklyn Nets small forward Gerald Wallace will miss Sunday night's game against the Indiana Pacers, the team announced Saturday.

Wallace suffered bruised ribs midway through the first quarter of Friday night's 99-79 victory over the Phoenix Suns. X-rays were negative.

Point guard Deron Williams, who suffered a right thigh contusion early in the third quarter, is questionable. Williams said after the game that he was going to receive treatment Saturday and see how he felt.

Reserve power forward Kris Humphries (sore left ankle) is a game-time decision. Reserves Jerry Stackhouse (sore left hamstring) and Mirza Teletovic (illness) are probable.

With 6:09 left in the first, Wallace attempted to convert a dunk in transition but was fouled hard by Suns small forward P.J. Tucker. Wallace landed hard on his right side, and stayed on the floor for a couple minutes in obvious pain.

Eventually, he was helped to his feet before heading to the locker room along with trainer Tim Walsh for further evaluation. NBA rules prohibited Wallace from returning to the game because Tyshawn Taylor attempted the ensuing free throws.

Williams was injured when he collided with Suns point guard Goran Dragic on a drive to the basket with 10:56 left in the third. He limped back to the bench but remained in the game for a brief stretch before being taken out at the 5:26 mark.

Williams headed to the locker room with 4:06 remaining in the quarter with an ice pack on his right leg, then came back out and re-entered the game at the 1:59 mark of the third.

Wallace, 30, is averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Nets this season. He missed seven games earlier in the season due to a sprained left ankle. He also missed a New Year's Eve loss to the San Antonio Spurs due to a bruised left knee.

Williams, 27, is averaging 16.7 points, 7.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds. He has battled through minor injuries all season, but missed only one game (the Dec. 26 loss in Milwaukee) due to a bruised right wrist.
