LOS ANGELES -- New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and center Tyson Chandler did not play Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

"They won't play," coach Mike Woodson said before the game. "We're going to go back with our same starters we had the other night [Thursday against Portland] with Chris Copeland."

The Knicks started Copeland, Kenyon Martin and Kurt Thomas in the frontcourt.

When asked about the injured duo's status for Monday night's game in Utah after the game, Woodson responded: "I really, honestly can't say. I don't know if they're coming back tomorrow night. I just don't know at this point."

This was the fifth game Anthony has missed out of the Knicks' past eight. He also missed large portions of two other games because of his knee ailment.

Chandler suffered a left knee contusion in the first half of New York's loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. This was the second game he has missed this season, as he also missed Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Chandler apparently also has a strained neck muscle.

Monday's game against the Jazz concludes the Knicks' five-game road trip.
