NEW YORK -- St. John's survived a first-half shooting slump and a scare throughout, outscoring Texas-Pan American 7-0 in the final minute for a 66-61 victory Wednesday night.

The Red Storm (6-5) rallied behind God'sgift Achiuwa, who scored 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting, and D'Angelo Harrison, whose 21 points included five in the last half-minute.

The Broncs (4-10) led 32-24 at halftime after a St. John's shooting slump. Leading 22-15, the Red Storm didn't score a basket the last 10:32 of the half. St. John's missed its last 10 shots from the floor, and was 1 of 5 at the line.

Texas-Pan American led 61-57 with 3:47 left on a 3-pointer by Brandon Provost (13 points). Achiuwa hit a jumper, then Harrison a 3-pointer for a 62-21 St. John's lead. After a Moe Harkless steal and dunk, Harrison hit two free throws.

Jared Maree led Texas-Pan American with 15 points.
