We asked ESPNNewYork.com's beat writers to rank their five top features of 2010. Next up: Ohm Youngmisuk, who has covered the New York Giants throughout the year. Check out Ohm's picks, then vote for yours in the poll at right.
1. Nightmare at the New Meadowlands
For the second straight year, the Giants sent fans to the exits after the home regular-season finale, looking for the first trash can to puke into. But unlike last year's 41-9 no-show against the Panthers, the Giants played their hearts out, only to have them ripped out by Michael Vick and the Eagles. In the end, it was a loss for the ages, and the G-Men were left in stunned disbelief.
2. Mathias Kiwanuka sees his brother again
Before his season ended due to a neck injury, Mathias Kiwanuka had an emotional homecoming to Indianapolis where he was glad to see his brother recovering after nearly dying in a motorcycle accident earlier in the summer. Kiwanuka, riding with his brother, saw Benedict Kiwanuka get thrown off his bike without a helmet and suffer near-fatal injuries.
3. Are you down with JPP?
The Giants drafted another defensive end with their 15th overall pick. While many wanted a linebacker to replace Antonio Pierce, the Giants opted for an incredibly raw defensive end with unlimited upside. Jason Pierre-Paul didn't even play football until his high school's football coach saw him dunking on a basketball court one day at school.
4. Cruz makes the grade
Before rookie Victor Cruz became a preseason sensation and made the Giants' final roster, he had to make the grade in college at UMass. Cruz overcame plenty of obstacles at UMass to make it all the way to the pros.
5. Chad Jones' accident
The Giants drafted a very talented and athletic safety out of LSU in the third round. Jones has yet to play his first snap for the Giants after a car accident during the offseason required numerous surgeries. Jones' football career is up in the air but his fellow rookies didn't forget about their injured teammate when training camp started without him.
