EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants starting center Jim Cordle's season is over, as the team placed him on injured reserve Tuesday.

Cordle sustained a patella tendon injury in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He joins fellow offensive linemen Chris Snee and David Baas on injured reserve.

Cordle's place on the roster was taken by Stephen Goodin, who has spent the entire season on the Giants' practice squad.

A third-year pro, Cordle has played in every game since the start of the 2012 season. After Baas hurt his neck, Cordle started three straight games, beginning Sept. 29 at Kansas City. Baas returned Oct. 21 against Minnesota but hurt his knee, and Cordle started the last four games.
