Mangold didn't practice Thursday and was limited Friday and Saturday due to an ailing ankle.
Pitoitua (knee) normally rotates in along the Jets' defensive front. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine intimated after Friday's practice that rookie Kenrick Ellis, the team's third-round pick out of Hampton who has yet to be active for a game this season, could make his NFL debut Monday.
The Jets also signed defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu off the practice squad earlier this week, so he could be another option to replace Pitoitua.
Strickland, who usually plays in nickel packages, is recovering from a concussion. He was limited the last couple days after wearing a red no-contract jersey earlier in the week during practice.
