NEW ORLEANS -- The New York Giants downgraded Michael Boley to out for Monday's game, as the linebacker did not make the trip to New Orleans on Sunday.

Wide receiver Mario Manningham did fly to New Orleans but still could be a game-time decision on Monday night with a knee injury.

Boley is missing his second straight game with a hamstring injury and rookie Mark Herzlich could get his second consecutive start in his place. The Giants used a rotation of Herzlich and Spencer Paysinger last week to try to fill Boley's role. Veteran safety Deon Grant wore the radio headset and relayed calls into the defensive huddle.

Manningham did not practice all week due to a knee injury. He said he will play on Monday night but the team could see how he feels in warm-ups first.

Boley joins tackle Will Beatty (eye), running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and cornerback Derrick Martin (hamstring) as Giants who are out for Monday night.

David Diehl likely will start at left tackle for Beatty and Kevin Boothe likely will start at left guard.
