Giants' Ahmad Bradshaw again limited
The Giants are getting healthier as the week progresses as wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (shoulder), cornerback Corey Webster (hamstring) and linebacker Jacquian Williams (foot) participated in a full practice on Thursday.
Bradshaw and defensive end Osi Umenyiora (ankle/knee) were the only Giants who were limited in practice.
"We did fine," coach Tom Coughlin told the pool reporter Thursday. "The energy level, the enthusiasm, the excitement is all there, as it should be, as it was yesterday. They're really excited to practice for the game. I think they've done very well. This was a good day of preparation."
According to the pool report, Bradshaw tripped on one snap in practice as he ran through the offensive line but was fine afterward.
Since fracturing his foot at the end of October, Bradshaw's typical routine has been to rest the first two days of practice before going through a Friday practice. But with the additional time off between the NFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl, Bradshaw felt good enough to go through two consecutive practices.
"Just to get my legs up under me," Bradshaw said of why he wanted to go two days in a row. "We've been staying in this hotel for the last couple of days, sitting on our butts in meetings and everything else, so I just wanted to get my feet up under me and get out there and have fun.
"I think it was a surprise just because I haven't been out there on Wednesday in a while," he added. "I just wanted to get out there yesterday and run around and just get the flow of the defenses and different things they'll throw at us."
A number of Giants players said they had one of the best practices of the season on Wednesday.
"We had a great practice yesterday," Brandon Jacobs said. "One of the best that we've ever had in a couple years actually. It was really intense. It just seems like it was a really important practice."
On Thursday, Eli Manning was sharp during the afternoon's 88-minute practice, according to the pool report.
Practicing on the University of Indianapolis' FieldTurf indoor practice field, Manning went 10 for 11 on throws during one two-minute drill against the first-team defense.
He connected with Nicks on a one-handed catch on the left sideline at one point in practice.
Coughlin told the pool reporter that he will not have the Giants switch hotels on Saturday night to get away from downtown, where they are currently. The Giants stayed in the same hotel during Super Bowl XLII, but they were secluded far out in the desert in Arizona.
The Giants will have another practice on Friday in which Coughlin will work on short yardage and red zone work. The team will go through a walkthrough on Saturday.
