Ballard tried to see if he could play but was seen falling in pain on the sideline trying to test the knee. The tight end was on crutches in the locker room afterward and will undergo an MRI to determine the full extent of the injury. Ballard already was fighting back from a PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) injury in his right knee.
Beckum had five catches for 93 yards and one touchdown this season. His best play of the season was a 67-yard touchdown catch and run against Green Bay during a regular season loss. The Giants have lost several players to season-ending knee injuries, including cornerback Terrell Thomas and linebacker Jonathan Goff.
