Running back Ahmad Bradshaw has a hand contusion, according to New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin.

The running back said he popped a cyst on his right hand and X-rays showed no broken bones. There was no timetable given for how long Bradshaw may be sidelined.

Coughlin also said cornerback Jayron Hosley has a turf toe injury after the rookie was in a protective walking boot on his right foot after the Giants' 26-3 win over the Jets on Saturday night.

"They are going to deal with this as a turf toe kind of an issue," Coughlin said. "It is a toe issue and hopefully nothing will turn out in terms of all the tests."

"And that is going to be something that is going to be very sore, there is no doubt. And how he will be able to deal with it will indicate how fast he can get back on the practice field."

Turf toe can be a nagging injury but it certainly would be better than a broken bone. The third-round pick continued his impressive preseason with a 77-yard interception touchdown return of a Mark Sanchez pass Saturday night. Hosley is competing to be the nickel cornerback and help cover slot receivers. He also could be the team's starting punt returner.

Middle linebacker Mark Herzlich (hip pointer) and defensive end Adrian Tracy (hamstring) also were injured during Saturday's win.

"They will be sore," Coughlin said. "They need to get out on the field and they both know it. It is a shame that it happened especially as quickly as it did (in the third quarter). I am hoping they can play through some of this."
