EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Jets won a game, but lost their most accomplished offensive weapon.

Tight end Dustin Keller suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's 7-6 victory over the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium, according to a source. He could miss the final four games, depending on the outcome of an MRI.

This has been a hard-luck season for Keller, the team's leading receiver in 2011. He pulled a hamstring in the preseason, played in the season opener, but then missed the next four games and didn't return until 100 percent until only recently.

This is a contract year for Keller, a former first-round pick who will be an unrestricted free agent. He wanted an extension before the season, but the team balked.

He has 26 catches for 300 yards on the year.
