NEWARK, N.J. -- Injured New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur traveled with the team to Tennessee on Friday.

But he didn't dress for Saturday night's game against the Nashville Predators and remains day to day.

The Devils recalled goaltender Keith Kinkaid from Albany of the AHL on an emergency basis Saturday to back up Johan Hedberg. New Jersey beat Nashville 3-2 in a shootout.

Brodeur was forced to leave the Devils' game against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday after one period because of a minor shoulder injury.

He tweaked his right shoulder with about eight minutes left in the first period of the Devils' 2-1 shootout win when he landed awkwardly while diving across the crease to make a blocker save.

Brodeur finished the period, but he said he lost stretch in his arm and had trouble holding his stick.

Information from ESPNNewYork.com hockey writer Katie Strang and The Associated Press was used in this report.
