Despite the fact the New York Islanders will miss the playoffs this season for the fifth straight year, team owner Charles Wang said he will bring back both general manager Garth Snow and coach Jack Capuano next season.

In an interview with MSG Network on its pregame show Sunday, Wang said he thinks Snow has done "a very good job," and expressed "complete confidence" in him.

When asked point-blank whether Snow and Capuano would retain their posts next season, Wang confirmed they would.

Mired in the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings for virtually the entire season, the Islanders were officially eliminated in a 6-3 loss to the Bruins Saturday.

During the show's segment, Wang also spent time discussing the team's long-standing quest for a new arena. Wang said he was committed to keeping the team in "the New York area," but was cryptic when asked about the possibility of relocating to Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The team will face the New Jersey Devils in a preseason game at the arena Oct. 2, fueling speculation that the new facility could be a viable option once the Islanders' Nassau Coliseum lease expires in 2015.

When asked if he has been approached by either developer Bruce Ratner or New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, Wang said: "I don't think it's wise to comment."
