MONTREAL -- Marco Di Vaio got his first MLS goal early in the second half and Davy Arnaud scored two minutes later to lead the Montreal Impact to a 3-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night.

Sanna Nyassi also scored for Montreal (8-13-3), which had lost its first two meetings with the Red Bulls.

Thierry Henry scored his 11th of the season in the 57th minute for New York (11-6-5).

Former AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta made his MLS debut for the Impact and received a rousing ovation when he touched the ball for the first time. The 36-year-old didn't disappoint as he took charge of the defense while shadowing New York's Henry.

Nesta's debut drew 19,441 for Saputo Stadium's first sellout since the expanded stadium reopened in June.

Di Vaio got the Impact on the scoreboard in the 48th minute, scoring in his eighth MLS match. Felipe Martins, who had three assists, slid a pass to Justin Mapp, who slipped the ball to Di Vaio on the left side, giving the veteran time to tee up and fire a low shot past Bill Gaudette for the opening goal.

Arnaud made it 2-0 in the 50th as Martins send Arnaud in alone to score on a low shot.

Henry eluded Nesta with the Impact calling for an offside call and got the ball alone on the right side to flip over Donovan Ricketts.

Nyassi sealed the win with his fourth goal in the 75th minute after he took a pass from DiVaio and converted from the left side.

Both teams had chances in the first half. Ricketts bobbled Henry's free kick and saw Markus Holgersson shoot the rebound over the bar in the 12th minute.

Gaudette, who played for Montreal in the NASL last season, stopped Mapp in alone and later blocked a point blank attempt from Arnaud.

The best chance went to New York's scoring ace Kenny Cooper, who forced Ricketts into a diving save off a corner kick in the 34th minute.

New York's Dax McCarty received his fifth yellow card and will sit out the Red Bulls' next match at Houston.

Sounders 2, Rapids 1

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- Osvaldo Alonso scored in the 66th minute as the Seattle Sounders beat Colorado 2-1 Saturday night, handing the Rapids their sixth straight loss.

Eddie Johnson scored in the opening minute and had an assist on Alonso's goal to help Seattle (9-5-7) extend its unbeaten streak to 2-0-3.

Drew Moor scored his third goal of the season in the 3rd minute for Colorado (7-14-1). The Rapids have been outscored 11-3 during their skid.

On the tiebreaking goal, Alonso broke free of midfielder Wells Thompson, took Johnson's cross and buried a shot past Colorado goalkeeper Matt Pickens.

Crew 2, Sporting KC 1

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Jairo Arietta scored two goals in his MLS debut for Columbus.

Arietta, who joined the Crew (8-7-4) at midseason from Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa, scored in the 17th and 34th minutes. Columbus finished the match a man down after Cole Grossman was issued a straight red card in second-half stoppage time for a hard foul on Graham Zusi.

Sporting (11-7-4) saw its home winless streak extended to four matches.

Kei Kamara scored on a header off Graham Zusi's free kick in the 8th minute, ending Kansas City's goalless streak at home at 333 minutes, but Arietta equalized nine minutes later.

Zusi's errant backpass led to Arietta's second goal, as he tracked down the ball and scored from distance.

Dynamo 2, Toronto FC 0

TORONTO -- Calen Carr and Brian Ching both scored as Houston earned its fourth straight victory.

The Dynamo (10-5-7) moved to second place in the Eastern Conference and extended their unbeaten streak to 5-0-2, having allowed just one goal in their last seven matches.

Toronto (5-12-4) snapped a three-game winning streak.

Carr put the Dynamo on the scoreboard in the 45th minute. Brian Davis sent in a corner kick that Houston defender Bobby Boswell deflected to a wide-open Carr, who headed it in from the right side of the six-yard box.

Houston widened its advantage in the 86th when Davis set up Ching with a beautiful touch pass and the Dynamo captain put it past Toronto goalkeeper Milos Kocic with ease.

Earthquakes 1, Fire 1

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Stephen Lenhart returned from a four-game injury absence to score in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time and lift the San Jose Earthquakes into a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.

Lenhart fired home from 20 yards, hammering a ball chested down by Chris Wondolowski to finally break through against Chicago's defense. Till that point, Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson had kept MLS's most prolific offense at bay with 10 saves.

The goal neutralized a 37th-minute strike from Chicago midfielder Chris Rolfe.

San Jose (13-5-5) moved two points clear of Real Salt Lake atop the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield standings.

Chicago (9-7-5) failed to win for the first time this season when scoring the first goal. The Fire had been 6-0-0 when taking a 1-0 lead. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
