Wilmer Flores was hit by a pitch while playing for Margarita in his native Venezuela on Thursday. He has not appeared in a game since. However, Flores merely is day to day after getting struck on the left calf, according to a Venezuelan media report.

Jets RB Chris Ivory loves playing the Dolphins. He rushed for 87 yards, including 86 after initial contact. In Week 4, he had 91 YAC against them -- his two highest totals of the season. All told, he tagged the Dolphins for 253 yards in the ground in two games. On Sunday, he broke at least five tackles on his 31-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

The Jets set a franchise record by holding the Dolphins to 12 rushing yards -- yes, 12. The Jets made a change at outside linebacker. Demario Davis, an every-down player for the first 10 games, was used in a rotation with Erin Henderson. They alternated series. "You have to earn playing time around here," Todd Bowles said, "and Erin has done that."

Kristaps Porzingis says of getting dunked on by Dwight Howard: "He got me." In his next breathe, Porzingis said he asked teammates when NYK plays HOU next because "I want to get him back." He was smiling when he said it but it's clear that he's looking forward to the opportunity.

Rockets beat Knicks in OT (1:15)

The Knicks lost a winnable game against the Rockets in overtime tonight and have now dropped four in a row. They were up 14 but couldn't hold the lead late, losing 116-111 in overtime. Arron Afflalo finished with a game-high 31 points and Kristaps Porzingis had 20 but took just one shot in the final five minutes.


Final: Rockets 114, Knicks 111 (OT)

Houston put up 32 points in the fourth quarter as a clutch Marcus Thornton 3-pointer pushed for overtime where the Rockets escaped with the victory. Box score
