New York Teams

Even after drafting Eli Apple in the first round, the Giants still could use depth at cornerback. And former Bengal Leon Hall, a veteran who can play the nickel position, could offer them that. Fox reports that Hall is visiting the Giants on Tuesday. My understand is that Hall has visited several teams this offseason, and that the big concerns about him are on the medical end of it – particularly a back injury that gave him trouble late last year. If he checks out physically and the Giants' doctors clear him, he makes sense as a signing for them. But don't be surprised if it takes a while.

Jets star Darrelle Revis, who has been described as an artist at cornerback, will be featured with Giants CB Janoris Jenkins in an art exhibit entitled, "The Corners of New York." It will start Tuesday at Pier 94 in NYC. Each player had his portrait painted in advance of the art fair, which supports the Perry J. Cohen Foundation. Cohen was a 14-year-old who went missing at sea last July off the coast of Florida. Revis and Jenkins will be present on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan on the QB situation: They still want to re-sign Ryan Fitzpatrick (where have we heard that before?), they're "excited" to see Geno Smith, they like Bryce Petty "quite a bit" and, "in a perfect world," they won't have to rush Christian Hackenberg into the lineup as a rookie. Jets GM Mike Maccagnan all but confirmed he tried to trade up for Ole Miss T Laremy Tunsil, whose fall to Miami became the story of the draft. He said Tunsil was a player "we liked quite a bit." The Jets apparently weren't bothered by the video. (Via ESPN NY 98.7 FM)

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan, explaining the decision not to exercise Dee Milliner's fifth-year option, said it was based primarily on his injury history. If Milliner plays well, they can try to negotiate a contract after the season, he said. (Via ESPN NY 98.7 FM)
